It has been a few years since I last posted to this blog. I feel guilty about this, but I began contributing regularly to a couple of Facebook groups and found that I had a much wider reach and more immediate reactions with those than I ever had with this blog. Then I created a group of my own, "The Arts and Skills of the Spanish Borderlands" [https://www.facebook.com/groups/651245652872223] and have posted many articles there. However, I've also seen Facebook groups die, and it isn't pretty. The founder dies or loses interest, and very soon the scammers arrive and begin posting inappropriate, or even obscene messages. The members have no choice but to leave.
I'm going
to start posting here some of my articles from "The Arts and Skills of
the Spanish Borderlands" and a few other groups I've contributed to. I
hope that in this way, they will last a bit longer should anything
happen to me.
Most,
but not all, of these articles I will post are about the "SpanishWest"
with information about such subjects as historical dress, horse gear,
arms and armor. I hope all of you who visit here enjoy what I have to
share.
